Best breakfast around. Creative specials for breakfast and lunch.

Top shelf ingredients and unexpected combinations make this place stand out. Tight seating and a few dishes that were sweet on sweet on sweet knocked off what would otherwise be an easy five star but bring cash as they don't take plastic.

Excellent service and food is great!

I used to be loyal to the Broadway diner in Red Bank and have to settle for something new now because they closed down. This place is pretty decent. You have to try their maple bacon, mmmm!

Banana bread french toast with strawberries and bananas on top. :-) Nick had a farmers market omelet. Both yummy!

Incredible Place. Like Gourmet Diner food. Don't miss the seasonal Fresh Corn Crepes, and the french toast and sweet crepe specials! Breakfast and Lunch Only.

Seating is a little tight but the food and service are always excellent! Very imaginative specials!

Inbetween their regular menu items and their specials menus, this restaurant is a great breakfast cafe in Red Bank. Always delicious, I always leave satisfied.

Good food... They are a little cheap though.. One piece of rye toast.. Limited ketchup...

Experience was OK. Service is friendly, and they are cash or local check only. Coffee was good, the andouille saucage was really good. Farm omelette wasn't our favorite. All around an alright breakfast choice in Red Bank.

Great food but small seating area

I went there today for brunch for the first time with a friend. I was very happy with the excellent service and quality of food.Our server was a young lady who was pleasant and most helpful.My friend was asking her what she recommended and his meal was better than expected. I would highly recommend this Cafe to people and I will definitely be back.

Small old-fashioned "luncheonette" feel but the menu is modern and seasonal! This place is DELICIOUS. Good coffee that flows....family owned and run. If you haven't tried it, don't hesitate!

Great food. Good service. Friendly workers. Pleasant place to eat. Clean. Reasonably priced. Definitely a place you would go out of your way for.

I ordered chocolate chip pancakes. The chips we burnt and when I tried to cut he pancakes they fell apart. Other than that, the pancakes were light and fluffy!! I would definitely come agian :)

I've been an Inbetween customer for many years, and have NEVER been disappointed. Bob and his crew do a great job of turning out QUALITY food on a daily basis, and his special someone are not to be missed. I cannot say enough about this special Lil place.

Great specials menu for breakfast. Would have given a 4.5 if the coffee had been better. Excellent quality and flavor with the two specials we tried. Thumbs down on their coffee though. Coffee was really weak, no flavor at all and temp was warm at best.

Honestly, I USED to go here for a long long time. I live up the street and it’s too erratic when I go in now so I stopped. The food is very good but not “that” great to where the cons outweigh the pros. The seating is absolutely HORRENDOUS. Probably the worst I’ve ever experienced... I’m sorry but a party of 4 shouldn’t be sitting elbow to elbow with a petty of 2 with NO space between. This isn’t a restaurant for tapas, it’s a breakfast/lunch place and sometimes we don’t like to make friends with strangers first thing in the morning. They need to expand if they want to keep up with the business or risk losing customers. I’m one of a few that had the same concerns. Go to Turning Point in Little Silver... Better food, better seating and they take credit cards...

we've been loyal customers of the inbetween cafe for 4 years since we moved into town. looking at one of the other reviews, i realize the owner is an awful person.the food is fine, but don't dare coming if you have a family with babies or young children. our 16 month old son cried a couple of times, and the owner came out of the kitchen to rudely tell us to silence our son or leave. after we immediately packed up our stuff to leave, i requested to speak with the owner. after making we wait 15 minutes, and after asking several of the staff members, he finally invited me into the kitchen. i calmly asked him if they don't welcome families here. he said not for kids who cry. so i asked him if he doesn't want us to return then? he said, "in fact, no, now please leave my kitchen, you are trespassing." i have never in my life been treated as such. we will indeed not be returning, and if you have children, please do not come here.

A gem of a local cafe. Creative breakfast menu, great soup selections. The name is perfect given the location. Check it out.

Good food just they don't let you keep your own drinks or coffee they asked me to take my coffee to my car so I have to place my coffee under my seat

The real deal. Great food in an unpretentious setting.

I go here every weekend for breakfast. I get an omellete and my boyfriend gets one of the weekly specials. The food is always fresh and so good. Hot chocolate is delicious. Home fries are crispy and not to be missed.

Best kept secret in Red Bank for local fare. Make sure you feed the meter though, the meter folks are ruthless. And don't forget your Ca$h, no credit cards.

Delicious brunch spot. Slight wait for food since there is only one cook in the kitchen. Well worth the wait. Home fries are crunchy and on point!

My friends came up to see Red Bank for the first time so we went to Rook Coffee around the corner and decided to get breakfast. We came in and were told we could not have outside food or drink, which I understand but then we also couldn't pay by credit card and they forgot to place our order to go with the cook so we stood outside, finished with our coffee, and not wanting to skip out on our overdue order, which they NEVER MADE. I was embarrassed that my friends had a bad experience in such a great town.

Fresh food, daily specials, prepared to your liking. Regulars visit for a reason. It's comfy and old style charm. Attentive service. Yep, the space is tight but, you might make a new aquantance. Counter is fun too. Cash rules (ATM inside) and they are closed on Tuesdays. Enjoy 😎
